My Work

I have been watching the Norfolk Arts District grow for a while and have seen my artist friends develop ideas and complete various art projects for the Tide and other citywide art projects. I have helped out where I could and was a juror and assistant for the Canvas mural project and also helped with Better Block in the Arts District. I have always wanted to design artwork for the city and since the timeline of the growth of the citywide arts initiative corresponded with the timeline of the growth of my family, it has been difficult to propose or work on ideas until recently. I have reconciled my interest and my available time and have created some designs for the proposed mural locations that I would be able to complete given the budget and schedule. Since this recent proposal was made to the City of Norfolk, I have created three more murals in three other cities, Virginia Beach, Niagara Falls and Rochester, NY.
